Proven Leadership.

I bought my first property in Vail and started renting it out expecting the process to be straightforward. It was not. The large platforms were impersonal and inconsistent. Smaller local operators were hard to evaluate. I kept wondering who was actually in the property, what condition it was in, and whether guests were having the kind of experience that reflected the home I had put real thought into.

In 2015 I started managing my own properties myself, under the Pop Art Villa name, inside the Riverfront Resort and Spa at Beaver Creek. I built the systems, found the right local team, and figured out what it actually took to deliver a consistent five-star experience at this level. By the time I retired from my career in finance in 2021, I had been running what was functionally a property management operation for several years. Luxart is the formalization of that.

We now manage a curated portfolio of privately owned homes across the Vail Valley and Sedona. The portfolio is kept small on purpose. Every property we take on gets the same attention we gave our own.

    Before starting Luxart, Garth spent 24 years at Janus Henderson Investors as an analyst, portfolio manager, and Executive Vice President. He was a Citywire A-rated manager of global equity strategies and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He started managing his own Beaver Creek properties in 2015 and has led Luxart full time since retiring from Janus Henderson in 2021. He is based in the Vail Valley and spends most of his free time on a mountain bike or on skis.

    Sarah is a Certified Vacation Rental Management Professional through the Vacation Rental Management Association. Very few people in this industry hold that credential. She runs operations across the full Luxart portfolio and is responsible for the systems that make consistent management possible at the level we hold ourselves to. Her background is in executive operations, corporate event management, and building teams and processes from scratch. If you've stayed in a Luxart property and everything was exactly right, that's Sarah.

    Jennifer manages Luxart's marketing across both markets. She spent over 15 years at Fortune 500 companies and holds an MBA. She is a regular traveler who understands the luxury travel market from the inside, which shows up in how she thinks about reaching the right owners and guests, including the four-legged ones.

Concierge

The concierge team handles the day-to-day guest experience across the Luxart portfolio. They manage arrivals, respond to in-stay requests, make local recommendations, and take care of anything that comes up during a guest's time in the home. For owners, they are also the eyes on the property: they know each home well, notice when something needs attention, and communicate it before it becomes a problem.
